Ceren Ece Öksüz’ün seslendirdiği ağıt ve filmin sunumu, salonda derin bir vefa duygusu oluşturdu. Ardından özel plaket sunumu gerçekleştirildi; yönetim kurulu sahneye davet edildi. Of Hayrat Cemiyeti Onursal Başkanı Prof. Dr. Ali Akyüz’ün konuşmasının ardından horon ekibinin gösterisi geceye Karadeniz coşkusunu taşıdı.

Century-Old Plane Tree Of Hayrat Society Hosts an Unforgettable Loyalty Night: 600-Person Gathering Receives a Lesson in “Ahde Vefa”
Held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Raffles Hotels & Resorts Zorlu Center, the Ahde Vefa Night crowned 99 weeks of “Cemiyette Muhabbet” with a powerful message: “Loyalty to the past, fellowship today, unity for the future.”
The Ahde Vefa Night organized by the Of Culture and Solidarity Association (Of Hayrat Society) took place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Raffles Hotels & Resorts Zorlu Center. Growing with unshakable bonds since 1967 and known as the century-old plane tree of the Black Sea, the Of Hayrat Society renewed its deep-rooted history and civil-society memory with this magnificent event.
Within the scope of the “Cemiyette Muhabbet Days,” held every Tuesday to strengthen unity and solidarity, the society has hosted 99 programs so far with an average attendance of 150–200 people. This beautiful togetherness was crowned with a much larger gathering: the Ahde Vefa Night brought together nearly 600 people, including the speakers and sponsors of those 99 programs, as well as valuable bureaucrats, academics, physicians, politicians, and businesspeople from the community.
The panel was moderated by Bahar Özmen, with Eslem Tellioğlu serving as assistant host. The panelists included Oktay Saral, Chief Advisor to the President; Adil Karaismailoğlu, MP for Trabzon and former Minister of Transport and Infrastructure; Prof. Dr. Ali Akyüz, Honorary President of the Of Hayrat Society; Hayrettin Nuhoğlu, MP for Istanbul; Prof. Dr. Cihat Yaycı, retired Rear Admiral and academic; Emrullah Tellioğlu, President of the Of Hayrat Society; Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Okur of Yıldız Technical University; Prof. Dr. Yaşar Hacısalihoğlu, Rector of Yüzyıl University; and Salim Salih Sarıalioğlu, Mayor of Of.
The program also included deeply emotional moments. In a special section dedicated to the memory of martyr Eren Bülbül, a speech was delivered about the Eren Bülbül film, and Ceren Ece Öksüz was invited to the stage. Her lament and the film presentation created a profound sense of loyalty and remembrance in the hall. A special plaque presentation followed; the board of directors was invited to the stage, and Prof. Dr. Ali Akyüz, Honorary President of the Of Hayrat Society, delivered his speech. The night continued with a horon team performance that brought the Black Sea’s excitement to the stage.
The panelists emphasized that loyalty is not merely a word, but the most honorable way to build the future by respecting the past. With a common denominator of love for the homeland, brotherhood, and belonging, they declared: “Those who forget their past can never make their tomorrows flourish; every effort spent under this roof, every drop of sweat, is our greatest sacred trust.” They once again proclaimed that the spirit of loyalty is the heart of the society.
Underlining the loyalty of generations gathered around the same ideal in this noble tradition spanning more than half a century, the speakers cried out as one voice from the Of Hayrat podium: “We do not merely carry the torch lit in 1967; we protect with our lives the same excitement of that first day and the trust of our elders who guided us.” These meaningful addresses, which created emotional moments in the hall, once again showed the world that the society is an unshakable family, a hearth that will never go out, and a monument of loyalty to be passed down through generations.
Of Hayrat Society President Emrullah Tellioğlu said in his speech that they are a huge family that loves one another, meets under the same roof, and shares the same table. He stated: “Loyalty is not forgetting the past. Loyalty is protecting the trust left to us. Loyalty is not leaving goodness unrewarded. Loyalty is being able to thank today those who labored for us yesterday.” Noting that he has served as general secretary, vice president, and president for fourteen years, Tellioğlu added that he never saw these duties as personal positions, but as a responsibility to carry the trust forward. He emphasized their work in education, support for young people, social responsibility projects, and cultural center efforts.
The night ended with the understanding: “Loyalty to our past, fellowship in our present, trust for our future.” With the Ahde Vefa Night, the Of Hayrat Society once again demonstrated that it is an unshakable family, a hearth that will never fade, and a monument of loyalty to be passed down through generations.
